What Causes Overweight

At last it's all over! The glands myth, very fashionable since 1930, has gone overboard and now almost the entire scientific world is in agreement. The old endocrinology theory on excess weight seems to be fading out.

Endocrine forms of obesity do undoubtedly exist. These cases are quite clear and well-defined, and represent no more than one or two per cent of all cases of obesity. They are of too scientific and speculative a character to be dealt with in a practical book for popular consumption.
